UaGateway  1.3.4.261
 All Pages
OEM Edition

The UaGateway can be installed as OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) product, hence the functionality differs from the standard version. Depending on the specific product, only a certain client can connect to UaGateway, or UaGateway can only connect to a single underlying server. This behaviour is preconfigured and cannot be changed by the user.

The settings which can be performed using the Administration Tool of the OEM UaGateway are grouped into several tabs. Some can be found in the Administration Tool of the standard UaGateway as well (see Administration for detailed information), the additional settings are described later on.

The OEM UaGateway Administration Tool contains the following tabs:

General

Change autostart settings, set the user context for the UaGateway service, change configuration permissions, enable/disable remote DCOM access; these settings are identical with the standard version.

Configured COM Servers

Enable/disable OPC COM servers

Configured UA Servers

Add/remove/configure OPC UA Servers

UA Endpoints

Specify log-on settings, add, remove and configure UA Endpoints for the UaGateway’s UA Server; these settings are identical with the standard version.

OPC DA (COM)

Configure the OPC COM DA Server: set the default namespace, configure property mapping of COM DA properties to UA attributes; these settings are identical with the standard version.

OPC AE (COM)

Configure the OPC COM AE Server: set the default namespace, configure the mapping of OPC UA event types to COM A&E categories and OPC UA event fields to COM A&E attributes; these settings are identical with the standard version

Channels

Enable/disable the different OPC client channels like COM DA client, UA client, XML-DA client, COM A&E client or COM HDA client; these settings are identical with the standard version.

Trace

Start/stop the trace of UaGateway application and UA Stack; these settings are identical with the standard version.

Certificates
Certificate management of the UaGateway’s certificate store; these settings are identical with the standard version.

Configured COM Servers

In this tab, you can select which COM Servers the OEM UaGateway will connect to.

The UaGateway automatically searches for locally available COM Servers and lists them, grouped by the categories COM DA COM AE and COM HDA. By checking or unchecking the box in front of each server, it can be enabled or disabled. “Enabled” means that the UaGateway will connect to this server. You can only select servers that are running on the same PC as the UaGateway, other servers are greyed-out in the list.

Configured UA Servers

This tab can be used to add, remove and configure UA Servers. There are three buttons at the right bottom of the window. Use the “+” button to add, the “-” button to remove, and the wrench button to edit the configuration of a server.

When adding or modifying a server, a new window will open. Fill in the desired values and confirm with “OK”.
