The default trace backend (stderr) has not configuration options in the settings.conf. The trace level and facility filter are configured by the application when calling uaapplication_init, which internally calls trace_openlog.

Only the file backend has some additional settings that can be configured in a separate configuration file trace.conf. See Trace Module and Troubleshooting for more information on this topic.
