Configuration

The Configuration Tool is used to configure the UaGateway’s runtime settings. It is a specialized UA-Client, capable of the OPC UA DI Profile. The Configuration Tool connects to the UaGateway using an OPC UA connection. To use the Configuration Tool the UaGateway has to be started and running.

The Configuration Tool is used to:

• add/remove underlying OPC UA, COM DA, COM AE and XML-DA Servers
• configure connection parameters and timeouts regarding these OPC Servers
• monitor the connection status to the underlying OPC Servers

Note

If no application instance certificate exists when the Configuration Tool is started, a new one is created. See Create an Application Instance Certificate for the Configuration Tool for more information.
