HowTo: Connect to the UaGateway with UaExpert

This HowTo describes how to connect to the local UaGateway with UaExpert using Security Policy None

Locate and start the client UaExpert. To add the UaGateway to the Project view of the UaExpert, just add the address of the UaGateway in the Add Server dialog and press the button OK.
This can be done in different ways:

• opc.tcp://<hostname>:4850
• opc.tcp://<IP Address>:4850
• opc.tcp://localhost:4850

If the check box Connect Automatically was unchecked, press the Connect button to establish the connection to the UaGateway.
To check in which mode the UaGateway runs (demo or valid license mode - how to order a license key is described here: Product Activation Dialog), drag and drop the variable License into the Default DA View.
